Sports aren’t everyone’s thing—and that’s okay. You may find them boring, not understand, or would rather watch anything else. If you’re one of these people you may dread Super Bowl Sunday. According to CNN, the Super Bowl is America’s unifier with a combined 110 million viewers over NBC, streaming and Spanish language broadcast. But have no fear, there are many other reasons to be a part of the festivities without watching the big game. Here are five things to look forward to on Super Bowl LVII if you aren’t a sports fan:

If you’re a pop culture fanatic the celebrities in attendance at the game may be your go-to for the headlines the day after the game. With the Philadelphia Eagles facing the Kansas City Chiefs we could see prominent celebrity fans rooting for their teams. Chiefs fans like Paul Rudd, Eric Stonestreet, Brad Pitt and Melissa Etheridge may be in the stands. And Philly fans Quinta Brunson, Kevin Hart, Bradley Cooper and even President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden could be present. - The Food
The Super Bowl is a snacker’s biggest stage. Whether you prefer store-bought items like chips and dip or want to go all-out with a charcuterie spread, there’s an option for everyone. Some people have their go-to snacks like chips and salsa, chili or buffalo wings. Super Bowl snacks are the perfect excuse for a little indulgence. - An Excuse to Party
If you’re a social butterfly or just like being around others the Super Bowl gathering is your place to be. Plus, the odds of finding someone else who’d rather do anything than actually watch football are pretty high. According to the Washington Post, a 2022 poll found that 67% of Americans were fans of football. And although that’s more than half there’s still the other 33% who could feel the same way as you. - The Commercials
Although commercials are regularly seen as a bathroom break, commercials during the Super Bowl cannot be ignored. There’s nothing like waiting to see which celebrity comes out of the woodwork to promote something that they have probably never used. So many iconic ads are iconic moments in pop culture history. Seeing the effort brands put into advertisements that they haven’t during any other time of year makes watching the game worth it. They’re also a great conversation piece during work on Monday. - The Halftime Performance
Last but not least, the halftime performance. About 12 to 15 minutes is all a performer gets to showcase their talent on one of the biggest and most watched stages. This year Rihanna is taking the stage. With hit after hit, so many fans are wondering which songs will make the cut. Disturbia? Don’t Stop The Music? Work? Pon de Replay? Music fans will have to watch and see how it all goes down.
