Ever since her two years as a member of the yearbook staff at Tualatin High School,
Johannesen has fallen in love with the field of communications. Being in this role allowed her to focus on her attention to detail through re-reading copies to check for proper grammar and forming aesthetic design elements on Adobe In-Design and Photoshop. The high standard of professionalism when writing and producing content prepared her well for the projects she had to create at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon.
After playing sports from kindergarten through high school, Johannesen now wants to work behind the scenes for teams and players. Her interest in sports drives her to want to create content for professional sports teams and fans alike. Through Allen Hall Public Relations, Johannesen has had the opportunity to work with the Oregon Softball team. Making connections with the coaches, players and fans has been incredibly valuable for representing the values of the team to the public. She wants to continue to tell stories that connect people. Being a part of a group of people that share the same passion that she has for public relations and sports is her goal.
